Nadezda Kokotovic
CEO, Brussels Energy Club
Nadezda is an energy security specialist, strategic programme manager, consultant, researcher, writer, and media commentator with more than 15 years of experience across oil and gas policy, EU public affairs, and Eurasian energy geopolitics.
For nearly a decade, she worked at NIS, a Gazprom Neft company, serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO in Belgrade, Serbia and later as the company’s Representative in Brussels. In these roles, she managed institutional relations with governments in Southeast Europe and the EU institutions, and supported the company’s top management.
From 2022 to 2026, Nadezda worked at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance, where she managed SGS INSPIRE, a global fuels-market intelligence platform covering conventional and alternative fuels, emissions, and regulatory developments. She worked with automotive, energy, and governmental clients across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
She currently provides consultative analysis on energy geopolitics in the Western Balkans, EU–Russia relations, and broader Eurasian affairs.
Nadezda directs the Brussels Energy Club and contributes commentary on the European energy security landscape to European media and policy forums.
She holds an MA in Russian Studies from the University of Belgrade, an MA in International Relations from the University of Kent, and is completing an MSc in Energy Policy at the University of Sussex. She is fluent in Serbian, Russian, and English.
