Sapar Palvanov

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the EU

Sapar Palvanov was born on February 13, 1989, in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. He pursued his education at the Institute of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where he graduated as a Specialist in International Relations in 2013. Sapar began his professional career as a Lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations in the same institute from 2013 to 2015, where he imparted knowledge to aspiring students.

In 2015, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as a Third Secretary in the Americas Department. Then he progressed to the position of Second Secretary from 2016 to 2017 and then to First Secretary from 2017 to 2018, actively contributing to diplomatic efforts within the Americas Department.
Recognizing his expertise and leadership skills, Sapar Palvanov was appointed as the Head of the Americas Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in 2018. In this role, he demonstrated his strategic vision and managed important diplomatic relations within the region until 2022.

In July 2022, Sapar's diplomatic career led him to be appointed as the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Belgium. As an ambassador, he represents his country and fosters diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Belgium, utilizing his extensive knowledge and experience in international relations.
