Alexander Antonyuk
Energy Representative, Eastern Partnership, European Investment Bank
Dr Alexander Antonyuk coordinates energy sector activities of the European Investment Bank in Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia. Having worked on more than 70 investment operations in more than 25 countries in previous roles at EIB, Alexander now focuses on energy policy, business development, and individual investment operations in the region. Alexander has managed some of the most complex operations at EIB in all the energy subsectors including renewables, energy efficiency, and networks. Dr Antonyuk has co-authored many internal and external publications on energy policy, price forecasts, CBA methodology, and the effect of CO2 prices on electricity markets among others.
Before joining EIB 10 years ago, Alexander worked for the International Energy Agency in Paris where he advised governments on energy policy.
Alexander holds a DPhil in econometrics from the University of Oxford. Alexander gives annual lectures on energy sector investments at the University College London and the College of Europe.
